Storytime: 2010 till Today

  • Our first Debut

Launched under the name of 'A |CookysHome', our first server booted for the first time, mainly a build server it quickly became home to experienced builders and later also mingebags and spammers. Descisions had to be made. Admins had to be recruited.

  • Introducing Admins

As our server got really busy, we had to introduce more admins to cover more than 2 time-zones. iSoul95, ntdave, MrKirby, Ultimate 100 and <profile_name> had been promoted to admins.

  • Did we die?

Someone asked and sadly the answer was yes. Our regular playerbase suddenly vanished no-one knew what happend really. Our server was 80% of the time empty, the few players that joined left after playing around with dupes and thats it. The descision was made; our server was shut down and thus 'A |CookysHome' died.

  • Minecraft? Anyone?

The minecraft hype began and SPB-Network was born. Some of the old members played together on random servers and then it happened, the server we've been playing on died, all the hours of gathering ressources and building, gone... Our own server had to be set up, we didn't want to loose any progress again so our players could have a backup every month if they wanted. Players we met on other servers before became members and friends.

  • Success!

Still in the game, update after update our server filled up. A second server running factions under the lead of Newjorciks popped up.

  • Did we die? Again?

This is where it all goes down. After trying to revive our servers with custom add-ons, gamemodes and modded servers there was no success at all. The dedicated server was still there since it also held private projects, to spend the ressources it had we hosted servers for random gamers and small communities free of charge.

  • lethal.network

The domain spb-network.com was up for renewal. Knowing that SPB was a project abandoned in 2013 we did not keep it, infact it's just a really bad domain name. Almost lethal gaming sessions got us into thinking and since gTLDs boomed, we went straight forward and registered lethal.network, not knowing what to do with it.

  • The pursuit of success.

Around 8 years after our first debut things changed, people changed and games did as well, but we still game on. Many of the honorable members of our previous communities are still up with us, some not. Finding nice players nowadays is a hassle sometimes thats where we come into play. Another name, more servers, new games but still quality staff, members and servers!

We're thrilled to hear what you think!

So you've got something to say? We can't wait to hear it! As a community we are always up for suggestions and feedback, may it be forum or website edits, content requests, changes and additions to our game servers or even a complete new server.

Here at lethal.network, we take things serious and your opinion is important for us.

Community Hosting, explained!

Maybe you did come across our history and if so you have probably read about hoting servers for random gamers, small communities and youtubers free of charge. This is still a thing! We happily share the ressources we have left and give away servers with only a few limitations. If you are interested in this please use the form below to request a server, however, if you need more information about it head over here or drop us a mail!
Limitations include 60% CPU usage, 20gb HDD / 10gb SSD, 1536MB Ram, no default ports, self managed.
Our servers come with a control panel, 1 mysql database and FTP access. Support is available via Discord or the forum, we only give you the basic tools, installing plugins or configuring the server is your part.
